Geox unveils the Breathing Building

On February 25th, 2010, Geox opens the “Breathing Building” in Milan, its largest and most innovative designer outlet.

In Via Torino on the corner of Piazza Duomo, Geox presents a new forward-looking concept store that is part of a wider-ranging architectural project involving the entire palazzo.

This opening marks a historical moment for Geox, not just because it represents  the Group's biggest store in the world, but also because the whole building chosen as the location for this project perfectly expresses and emphasises the company’s values.

Outside, the façade of the building features an immense chequerboard of iridescent, constantly moving tones that bring the “Breathing Building” to life. The array of inclinations that can be used offer a striking scenic effect for walkers-by. At the same time, they provide an important air-conditioning function, reducing the building’s energy consumption levels. So the Breathing Building serves as a venue and perfect metaphor for the shoes and clothing "that breathe".
