Matteo Mascazzini has been appointed CEO of Geox Group, with effect from 1st February 2018.
Born in Milan in 1969, Matteo Mascazzini graduated in Business Administration from the city’s Luigi Bocconi University in 1993 and went on to complete a Masters in Finance at the London Business School.
He previously worked for Gucci group for over 10 years where he held leading global positions. From 2016, he was Chief Operating Officer for Gucci America (sales of approx. USD 1.3 billion). Prior to this, he held the role of Worldwide Senior Vice President Retail & Consumer Management (around 500 stores and 6,000 employees) and was Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President of Gucci Japan (Tokyo), Gucci America (New York) and Gucci Europe, Middle East and India, respectively.
Before working for Gucci group, from 2003 to 2007, Matteo Mascazzini held important roles for Armani Group, including Chief Operating Officer of the Giorgio Armani Corporation in New York and, prior to this, CEO of Giorgio Armani Australia and CFO of Giorgio Armani Japan.
Between 1995 and 2003, he was a controller for the Gianni Versace group, first in America and then for the Group as a whole.
